Yes, 'because' is a very important word because (!) it answers the most important question of all, the question 'why'. Keep using it. It makes for a rich sentence.
Of interest, the tides are not the same size the world over *because* not all seas are of the same size. Where I grew up, the difference between high and low tide was very small. And in Sweden they don't have them at all!
Thanks Vanda, we did not know that about tides so Room 4 have learned something new about tides. We looked at Sweden on the map and noticed that the sea is just like a lake - Milla.
